Louisville KY Maternity and Newborn Photographer | Studio vs Home Newborn Photo Session
So, so very tired. I was snuggling my little boy, only 9 days old, who only wanted to be held in my arms in order to sleep. It was a groggy 3:00am, and my eyes were heavy as I watched the minutes tick away. I knew in just a few short hours we were going to have our son’s first professional portraits.
The week before I spent hours cleaning up our home – tucking away the swing, cleaning the bottles off the counters, trying to find things to make our home feel a little more magazine”esq”, if you know what I mean. I needed to make sure there were “pretty rooms” with good light. I needed to find something perfect to wear that would flatter my new shape. I needed to this and needed to that. But what I really needed was just to enjoy my new baby.
It was stressful, and it shouldn’t be. I never want you to feel that way with your newborn.
Instead, I welcome you to something different. Something much, much better.
From the get go, I take care of everything for you.
Do you need to clean your home?
No! Not even one dustball needs to go. Our studio feels more like a home than a stuffy studio. It’s probably not at all what you think when you hear “studio.” Our St Mattews KY location has been given two thumbs up by countless moms and dads just like you over the years. You see it’s a relaxed yet professional experience for moms and dads wanting natural photographs of their new babies and wanting great customer care. (By the way, if you or dad happen to doze off during your portrait session, I’ll never tell. I remember those days!) I promise, a studio is so much better than having to tidy up and decorate your home as though Joanna Gaines is coming over for an inspection. Come, relax, enjoy lunch on us, and in a few weeks we will have artwork of your baby you’ll be in love with.
Do you need to buy the perfect something for you to wear?
Heaven’s no. If you‘ve seen our artwork online or from a friend, those amazing moms borrowed clothing from us. Save your pennies and your time for something much better.
Do you offer outdoor sessions?
Yes! If you would like an outdoor maternity or family portrait session, we provide sunset sessions – where the temperatures cool down and the sun kisses the field. (For safety reasons, newborns are photographed at the studio.)
Again, if you’re looking for relaxed, natural portraits with your new baby. I’m your girl and I would love to work with your family.

Bookings and inquiries: We are currently fully booked through July for newborn studio maternity sessions. Only a few sunset maternity sessions remain for the summer months.
